Patch planning guide

Small patch orders: understand quantity and the base charge

Separate the number of pieces requested from the production charge used for a small run.

A request for one patch is a quantity decision; it is not a promise that every element of the quote scales down to one tenth of a ten-piece run. Understanding the base production charge helps explain small orders without publishing a false minimum quantity.

Keep quantity and base pricing distinct

Customers may request quantities from one. For quantities one through ten, the existing ten-piece BASE production charge applies. This is different from saying that ten pieces must be ordered. Review the actual quote and avoid interpreting a base-price tier as a general minimum order rule.

Count per-piece options correctly

Per-piece add-ons use the actual ordered quantity. Keep those line items separate from the base charge when comparing a small request with a larger run. Do not change a pricing table or invent a proportional discount to make a marketing explanation appear simpler.

Use one specification for the comparison

A different size, material, border or backing can change the scope of a quote. Compare the same approved requirements before drawing conclusions about the effect of quantity. If multiple designs are involved, list each separately rather than assuming they are one identical production run.

Decide what the small order must answer

A small request may address a personal project or help evaluate a design, but it is not automatically a separately promised sample program. Explain the actual use and requirements. Keep the production schedule and shipment cost visible so the decision is based on the complete quote.

Proof, production and shipping

Standard turnaround is approximately 10 business days, including production and shipping, starting from the next business day after final mockup approval. Priority Rush turnaround is approximately 7 business days, including production and shipping, starting from the next business day after final mockup approval.

Quantities from 1 are available. Quantities 1–10 use the existing ten-piece BASE production charge; per-piece add-ons use the actual ordered quantity.

Quotation shipping is free at $120 or more; otherwise it is $35. Confirm the destination and schedule in your quote.

Questions for this project

Does the ten-piece base charge mean I must order ten patches?

No. Requests can start at one piece; quantities one through ten use the existing ten-piece BASE production charge.

Should per-piece add-ons also be charged on ten units for a one-piece order?

The policy states that per-piece add-ons use actual ordered quantity. Keep that calculation distinct from the base production charge.
